Manasa
Manasa and his family have built the small retreat on a beautiful piece of land, with its own secluded white sand beach, that his forefathers owned. He decided to build the accommodation so guests could enjoy the blissful lifestyle of Waya Island.
The main areas of focus are the local people and the environment.
Growing up at the nearby village of Yalobi, Manasa and his family have been living on subsistence farming and fishing all throughout their lives. However, they decided to build a few bures using local materials on a beautiful piece of land owned by their forefathers. From its humble beginnings, the resort has helped sustain their livelihood and offers guests a chance to experience the laid back and happy lifestyle they have enjoyed.
Fresh water is supplied by natural springs that constantly flow from high up the hills. As was in the past, lanterns and torches are the only source of light at night. There are no modern amenities and simple living is what makes Bayside Resort unique and special.
