Castaway Island Resort
BookLocation: Mamanuca
From: FJD 751.21
4th year at Castaway. Lot's of positive changes since last year.... food menus have been overhauled completely (which it needed) lovely food modern and excellent quality. Internet access in the main bar, bure modifications e.g. safety deposit boxes in each one, bathrooms modified etc. The staff are all absolutely excellent on the island, warm welcomes, warm hearts and genuine loving souls! Last year we questioned if we'd go back this year, this year we're already thinking about next years return booking, but with several families! Perfect relaxation, perfect location! Mark Evans Sydney- 19/07/2010, Mr. Mark Evans
It was very disappointing that it was SO difficult to have 5 people in a bure. I have three young children. I was told to get two which is ridiculous - I can;t leave the children alone and I don;t want to be away from my husband. Three beds in our lounge worked very well and I can't see what all the fuss was about. There are lots of people with 3 children. We plan to come back as Castaway was fantastic but we will have to spend our money elsewhere if we can't be accommodated. Many people on the island when we were there said the same thing.- 14/12/2008, Mr. LEAH CAUSER

Suva Motor Inn
BookLocation: Suva
From: FJD 146.25
Please forward these comments to owners: New pillow are needed at least 2/person as the ones provided are flat and overused; Also need blankets; New hangers for clothes; No Kleenex tissues after 1st day; Complete sets of cutlery; Cooking stove in all rooms; Lights need to be brighter - very dark rooms; More towels needed- 09/08/2010, Mr. CLARA LOBENDAHN
When we left the Suva motor in one from the staff called for a taxi to bring us to the airport and he charged us for 40 dollars, and we paied 28 on arrival. Then we noticed that it was not even a taxi, I got my money back but I had to argue with the driver this was a disapointing experience. Everything else was good, vinaka vaku levu.- 21/12/2009, Mr. Haakon Sandberg

Plantation Island Resort
BookLocation: Mamanuca
From: FJD 263.64
Plantation Island is in a word - tired. The resort is tired and urgetly needs a renovation, the staff are tired and F & B ordinary. The location is 5 star but resort 2 star. A very underwhelming experience- 10/02/2010, Mr. Rodney Feher

The Pearl South Pacific Resort, Spa and Championship Golf Course
BookLocation: Pacific Harbour
From: FJD 342.23
no major complaints, hotel is overall a charming place, we did how the misfortune of booking stay during pool and room constructions, which should have been advertised prior to booking, may revisit next year..- 27/03/2007, Mr. gary vinson
Organised activities throughout the day at the resort is a major plus. Would have liked free shuttle to the Arts Village up the road. Prefer reception staff to give unbiased travel information rather than the travel desk. Found it was easy enough to catch a van/bus from the highway.- 05/02/2007, Mrs. Adelyn Van Der Klauw

Fiji Beach Resort & Spa
BookLocation: Denarau, Nadi
From: FJD 438.99
Great resort, great rooms. The pools are fantastic and the outlook is spectacular. The only criticism was that whilst our children were in the kids club they were taken out of the resort and taken on the bula bus for a trip around denarau. That is not acceptable at all.- 14/12/2008, Mr. LEAH CAUSER
The Hilton has a lovely outlook, and should be a great place to stay. However, the service is terrible and the staff mostly rude and unhelpful. The supposed 'freedom fridge' in the room was rarely ever replaced, despite requests, and things like blinds falling down on you were common. There was a general atmosphere that made you feel unwelcome. Staff adding extra meals and their own tips to your bill was also common. Be warned if you choose to stay there, as it will spoil your holiday- 29/10/2008, Ms. Lisa Gigney

Mana Island Resort
BookLocation: Mamanuca
From: FJD 344.67
1st time on the island, only stayed for 1 day. TIP: Backpackers resort next door (cheap for food and drinks!).- 19/07/2010, Mr. Mark Evans
Very friendly charming staff. The food was ok, not great; but there was a good variety of dishes from which to choose at meal times. Beaches were lovely (after they were cleaned) with good snorkelling to be done from the moment you stepped into the water. Executive beachfront bures were very nice with great views of other Mamanuca islands. We had a lovely send off by boat from resort staff. Really friendly people.- 20/05/2008, Mr. Kofi Owusu-Agyemang
